Privacy Policy

GZ TradeWorks (“we”, “us”) operates gztradeworks.ca from Ontario, Canada. This policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information in connection with this website. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), which applies to this kind of commercial collection of personal information in Ontario.

This site is a small business presence page with a contact form. We do not run accounts, take payments, or sell advertising on this website.

Information we collect

You can browse the site without giving us your name. If you use the contact form, we collect:

• Name, email address, and optional phone number and message
• Technical details used to run the form and reduce spam (for example IP address, browser type, and how long the page was open before submit)
• If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, a bot-check token. Cloudflare processes that check on our behalf

Our hosting and DNS providers also see standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, date and time) to keep the site running and to investigate abuse.

How we use it

We use this information to:

• Reply to your inquiry by email or phone
• Send a confirmation email that we received your message
• Keep a record of the inquiry so we can follow up on the job
• Protect the form against spam and automated abuse
• Comply with law if we are required to

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the contact form to add you to a newsletter. If we ever wanted to send you marketing emails unrelated to an inquiry you started, we would need your consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Email and phone (CASL)

When you submit the form, you ask us to contact you about that inquiry. We may email or call you to respond. The confirmation email is sent because you submitted the form. You can ask us to stop contacting you about an inquiry at any time using the details below.

Who else sees it

We use service providers to operate the site:

• Cloudflare — DNS and, if enabled, Turnstile spam protection
• Brevo — sending the confirmation and notification emails
• Supabase — storing contact submissions on servers in Canada (Montréal region)
• Our hosting provider in Canada, which serves the website

They may only use the information to provide those services to us. Some providers have operations outside Canada; PIPEDA allows that when comparable safeguards are in place. Email you send or receive may transit networks in other countries.

Cookies

We follow your device’s light or dark setting. If you use the light/dark control, we store that choice in your browser’s local storage so it stays put. That is not used to identify you.

If Turnstile is on, Cloudflare may set cookies needed for that check. We do not use advertising cookies or a tracking pixel on this site.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle the inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward (for example if a related job or follow-up comes up), then deleted or archived in the ordinary course of business. Email copies in our inbox follow the same idea. You can ask us to delete a submission; we will do so unless we must keep it for a legal reason.

Your rights (Canada)

Subject to PIPEDA, you may:

• Ask whether we have personal information about you, and to see it
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong
• Withdraw consent for further use, where PIPEDA allows
• Complain to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

Ontario does not have a separate private-sector privacy statute that replaces PIPEDA for this site.

Children

This site is meant for adults inquiring about construction work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use HTTPS and limit who can see submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after a change means the new policy applies to later collection.
